I'm listening to Fox. A pilot died dead away during a flight from overseas. Due to land in Newark within the hour. I know you're in NJ, but not how
close to Newark. There won't be any problems because there's a backup crew. Still, this is something that was in the back of my mind on my overseas
flights, expecially the ones to and from China. I wonder if the passengers are aware of what's happening.

Marian----Two miles from my house I hop on the Interstate, and I'm at Newark Airport in 25 minutes, maybe less if I fly low, but that's pushing it. At
night, we're in the landing pattern, and where my DH sits to watch TV, he sees the planes coming in....one every two minutes. But we don't hear them,
they're still pretty high, and somewhat to the north of us.
My daughter told me about the plane this morning, but to tell you the truth, this was the one day I didn't have the radio on. (I'm not a TV watcher.) I was expecting the delivery of a new computer today by FED EX, and I wanted to make sure I heard the door bell. Speaking of "pilotless" planes, have you ever read,"The Lion's Game" by Nelson DeMille? It starts out with a plane landing at JFK, and everyone on it, including the pilots and crew are dead. It's one of the better books I've read. Helen |

I'll check it out! I like his books. Right now I'm reading "Rhett Butler's People".It's fantastic. Some of it runs parallel with
GWTW.

Marian----About 6-7 years ago I read that awful "sequel" to GWTW, "Scarlett" so I avoided Rhett Butler's People thinking it was
probably much of the same, but if you say it's good, I'll give it a try. Did you read The Gate House, the sequel to The Gold Coast? (Nelson DeMille)

Finished RBP last night. Very, very good. It is the only sequel sanctioned by the GWTW foundation (or whatever you call it) I also read that particular sequel
and thought it was silly.
