And it would be absolutely perfect to stitch it on fabby (front and back) that you bought overseas.
I envy you the trip. The closest I've been is to deGaulle airport because a flight from Rome got cancelled because of snow. I've decided on my next trip across the pond to take a 2 or 3 day eurostar trip to Paris. I want to see Notre Dame so badly. And Normandy and Versailles.Breathe in some of the air for me!!! |

Coral------Have fun on your European tour! Wish I could hide in your suitcase. My DH does not want to "cross time zones" anymore. He catches
everything imaginable when on planes.....came home from England once with pneumonia. So I think our international travel days are over, and we'll stick to
our car trips to Florida.
Marian----I looked at your blog, and your're really very good with it. So you have a granddaughter Grace also! When my little Gracie was born, her uncle had the hymn "Amazing Grace" sung in church that day. Loved your comments about June 6th - D-Day. That was my dad's birthday, and he never let anyone forget it. I was in 4th grade on June 6th 1944, and I remember like it was yesterday-----the whole school, all 8 grades, assembled on the playground where they raised the American flag up our huge flagpole, and we sang the National Anthem (2 verses), the principal read a passage from the Bible, and we all recited the Lord's Prayer. Can you imagine that happening in a public school today? Also, that blue in the blue crawfish is my favorite color. Helen |

Saw that picture of the flag with all these details, is that a painting or a drawing, it's a wonderful picture. Coral, enjoy your trip abroad, changing the winter for a European summer, have a safe trip and hope you have a very good time!! Happy Stitching :) My cross stiching album:

Isn't that special about stitching, it's very therapeutic and keeps us going, have been doing it for sooooo long, that life without it, wouldn't be
the same, when the boys don't see me with my stitching, they ask me why not. LOL, but when the DVD with pride and prejudice is playing, they know it's
serious stitching time.
Used to read a lot too, but somehow, it's less and less. Happy Stitching :) My cross stiching album:

Marian, what lovely stitching! I find we have a lot in common. I am a huge Jane Austen addict and also an anglophile. We were lucky enough to live in Richmond
upon Thames for almost four years and my daughter was born there. I am also a Republican... or should I say conservative, because I am a Canadian and cannot
vote here. We live in Fairfax County in Virginia, so if you want to spend time at the Smithsonian, I would be happy to have you as a guest. You would just have
to put up with teenagers and my exuberant dog Grace!

How lucky to live there!!! The best I'm going to be able to do-get ready!- is that I have asked my family to scatter my ashes (at least half of them) in
England. Theory being if I can't live there in life, I'll be there in death. I love the Cotswolds and the Lake District. The anglophile thing is how I
got interested in Marty Bell. I went into a LNS in Burford to bring home some stash and the lady had never heard of Mary Bell or MHG, which is my pride and
joy.
The Smithsonian is on my list. Maybe in a couple of years. And just one more trip to Jolly Old. Yes, we have a lot in common! |
