The Bradford Pears were absolutely gorgeous this year. Our city has them along all the major streets and avenues. They are now greening out and the crabapple trees are in full bloom. We are still jumping from hi to low temps and back up again. I've gotten some of my flower beds...

Virginia's oldest covered bridge, Humpback Bridge, located near Covington, VA, was
built in 1857. The center of the floor and roof is about four feet higher than the ends, giving the bridge both its appearance and its name. It is the only bridge of its design in the United States.

Hello, all! Here is a pic of my Sweatshirt I am doing with waste canvas. I TRIED to re-size it in Photobucket, but they changed that all around, and I can't get the "re-size picture" anymore. Walmat is selling out of sewing notions right? Well........I was there on Monday...they were bringing out the last of the DMC floss....ahem....my sister struck up a bargain with the manager. Drum roll please....................

I got 1,500+ skeins of assorted DMC floss for $50.00 each. That boils down to $0.03 per skein! Woo Hoo! I am so stoked. I am going to sort and inventory it on the weekend.

I was physically shaking when he said yes. Happy early birthday to ME!
