Hi all,

It's been a while since I posted too. We had a wonderful trip East. We did end up dodging rain the whole three weeks but there were wonderful sunny days too. We went up into New England, enjoyed the fall color there and were in and out at our daughter's home in PA. There we caught up with l5 grandkids, and 3 greatgrandkids.

Also had a wonderful couple of days with Art and Helen. They toured us around their area of the East including the Deleware Gap...

Hi all. Boy, am I bummed (exclamation point) (doesn't want to work for some reason). Here I was, gone for 3 weeks, and it seems like nobody cares. Of course, I don't post as often as I should, but . . .

Anyway, Coral, a question - when you did the hummingbird trellis afghan from Stoney Creek did you use 2 or 3 strands of floss? I am starting that one and thought I would ask.

BFC - I had a blast again this year. Are we going to continue it...

Hi Everyone-----Fern and Ralph came for their visit, and we certainly had a wonderful time with them. I can tell you with all sincerity that they are good Christian people, fine patriotic Americans, and well educated, intelligent, but very humble folks. I had fun feeding them some of my "ethnic" dishes. Fern brought her medieval maiden sitting on her horse....it is huge and will be spectacular when it is finished. I got to show her mostly the quilts I've gotten done since...

We have been in severe drought for the past 5 + years and our water levels have been down to 25%. This year very dry but not too cold this winter but now we are 5 weeks into Spring and we are still having very cold weather...and I am so happy to say lots of rain. We need a lot more to get us back feeling secure about our water supply.

Anyway back to stitching on Gomshall Flower Shop tomorrow ...second last page...

Hi everyone,

Very quiet again. I cooked 50 lbs of chicken yesterday, deboned it, cut it up and froze it for next week.
I'm cooking an ethnic dinner for our missionary conference. The country, Mali, West Africa.
The food:

Chicken Peanut Sauce
or Chicken curry Sauce over rice or cous cous, black beans, lots of fresh fruit, and fritters (substituting donut holes for that.) I'm cooking the sauces and the beans. Others will handle the rest....

I just checked Jim's site, and it looks like there is a new chart from Stephanie in her series of pictures that she's taken around the country. It is a Baptist Church in northern Georgia. The stone work is quite beautiful, and the trees very life-like. I'll be waiting for Jim to put it on the board. Helen
